India is one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse nation. And in a country as culturally diverse as ours, festivals across the country is also celebrated with equal diversity. This year IAAOWA celebrated the Navratri by organising Garba. A dance form originating from Gujarat. The word Garba originates from Sanskrit word Garbha, meaning the womb. Garba honours, worships and celebrates the feminine form of divinity. It is performed around an earthen pot with a lamp inside it. The lantern symbolizes life and the pot is the symbol of the body within which divinity resides.
The annual Holi party was celebrated with full fervour required for the festival like Holi. IAAOWA celebrated Holi party with music, games, cultural programs and food.
The celebration coincided with the unveiling of the logo and motto of the Association.
